2020 Fantasy Outlook
Ervin gave the Packers' return game a spark last season and also made a couple plays on offense. The team re-signed him during the offseason and he figures to reprise the same role in 2020. Read Past Outlooks

Season cut short by injuries
Ervin (foot) had 13 carries for 67 yards and 11 receptions for 84 yards over eight games in 2020. He also returned 10 kicks for 196 yards and five punts for 20 yards.
ANALYSIS
Ervin held a small but defined role early in the season, but he dealt with a number of injuries and appeared in only four games after Week 4. His skill set fits well in the Packers' offense, and his return abilities gave him extra value for a team that had issues in that department. However, he will be a free agent this offseason, and it's hardly a guarantee the Packers bring him back for another year.

Jakobi Meyers has become the focal point of New England's passing game, while other young wideouts like Preston Williams, Michael Pittman and Denzel Mims are hoping to do the same for their respective teams.

How many running backs do you trust? Mike Davis should get a decent run this week, albeit against a tough Tampa defense.

Chase Edmonds was disappointing from a production standpoint, but his every-down role hints at better things to come if Kenyan Drake misses more time beyond Week 9.

The Texans used a fourth-round pick on Ervin in 2016 and are still waiting for return on that investment two years later. He was the primary return man on both punts and kicks during his rookie season, but exhibited ball-security problems. In 2017, he was poised to add third-down back to his special-teams role. He had 10 targets over the first two weeks before his season was cut short by a torn patellar tendon in Week 4. There's still a need for both roles entering 2018, so much depends on the health of his knee. In a passing-oriented offense with the dynamic Deshaun Watson, Ervin could emerge has a receiving threat, however, he'll be no better than third on backfield depth chart behind Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue to open the season. Ervin's roster spot could be in jeopardy by mid-season if D'Onta Forearm, who begins the campaign on the PUP list with an Achilles injury, is ultimately activated.
