2018 Fantasy Outlook
Kizer appeared in 15 games with the Browns during his rookie season, and the results weren't pretty as he completed just 53.6 percent of his passes and posted an 11:22 TD:INT. Though Kizer was only in Cleveland one year and was a second-round selection in 2017, the Browns deemed him expendable following the trade for Tyrod Taylor. The Browns further bolstered the position with the pick of Baker Mayfield first overall in the draft, leading the team to trade Kizer to Green Bay. Kizer is set to open the season as the Packers' backup quarterback behind Aaron Rodgers. Read Past Outlooks

Continues to be turnover machine
QBGreen Bay Packers
December 30, 2018
Kizer completed 16 of 35 attempts, throwing for 132 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's 31-0 loss to Detroit. He also added four rushes for 40 yards on the afternoon.
ANALYSIS
Kizer has demonstrated raw arm talent and glimpses of brilliance as a rusher from time to time, but his first two years in the NFL have been a supreme disappointment overall. Having entered the league as a second-round draft choice of Cleveland in 2017, the Notre Dame product has proceeded to complete fewer than 54 percent of his attempts, while owning an abysmal 11:24 TD:INT ratio for his career. Kizer's roster spot in Green Bay is far from guaranteed heading into 2019, as his ability to contribute as a reliable backup to Aaron Rodgers remains very much in question with this latest dud against Detroit's top-10 pass defense.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
A second-round draft pick, Kizer will compete with Cody Kessler, Brock Osweiler and Kevin Hogan to start for the Browns. At 6-4, 230, Kizer has prototypical size for a QB and a big arm to match. Scouts praised his poise in the pocket and willingness to hang in and take hits. Reports out of OTAs said Kizer was already ahead of the competition in terms of arm strength and mobility; but his accuracy, field vision and decision making -- which in part kept him out of the first round -- are still developing. The Browns, who don't look to be going anywhere this year, have plenty of time; it's just a matter of when they want to get the ball rolling on the only candidate of the quartet with quarterback-of-the-future potential. Kessler seemingly fell out of the competition early in training camp, leaving Osweiler and Kizer to duke it out. The rookie then outplayed the veteran in the first two preseason games, emerging as the favorite to get the Week 1 start in the process.
