2018 Fantasy Outlook
Kaaya entered the preseason as the No. 4 quarterback on the depth chart hinting that his time in Indianapolis could be limited. However, there seems to be a bit of uncertainty regarding the quarterback position as both Andrew Luck works his way back from shoulder surgery and the Colts field trade offers for Jacoby Brissett. Kaaya could have the chance to earn a roster spot with a strong showing during the preseason, but his fantasy value is near the bottom of the quarterback barrel at the moment. Read Past Outlooks

Kaaya was claimed off waivers by the Bengals on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Kaaya was waived by the Colts on Feb. 8 after spending the 2018 season on injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury. The 2017 sixth-round pick has yet to earn a job at the NFL level, but he showed potential during his tenure at the University of Miami. He'll compete with Tom Savage for the No. 3 QB job this offseason.

NFL Draft: QB/RB Dynasty Rankings
March 24, 2017
His film and production alone make him a good bet to go in the first round, but a disappointing Combine pushed Dalvin Cook back a couple spots in the rookie RB rankings.

Dalvin Cook and Leonard Fournette will hog the headlines at running back, but Alvin Kamara is another RB who could burn up the Combine.
2017 Fantasy Outlook
Kaaya hails from a pro-style offense at the University of Miami (Fla.) and finished his collegiate tenure as the school's all-time leader in passing yards (9,968), so he likely enters the NFL more prepared than the average quarterback. A sixth-round pick this spring, Kaaya will have to beat out 2016 sixth-rounder Jake Rudock just to earn the right to backup starting quarterback Matthew Stafford -- who hasn't missed a game in six seasons. Thus, Kaaya appears far more valuable in dynasty formats than re-draft leagues for the time being.
