2021 Fantasy Outlook
Arcega-Whiteside has yet to deliver on the promise of the second-round pick that was used to take him in the 2019 draft. The 24-year-old had ample opportunity in 2020, as injuries ravaged Eagles wide receivers once again, but he ended up a healthy scratch for most of the second half of the season. Entering 2021, he'll have to battle for looks from the bottom of the depth chart. Read Past Outlooks

January 10, 2022
Arcega Whiteside was placed on injured reserve Monday and is scheduled to undergo finger surgery, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While Philadelphia was resting several key players for the Week 18 loss to the Cowboys, Arcega-Whiteside played a season-high 40 offensive snaps and failed to catch any of his three targets. After sitting out the requisite three games, Arcega-Whiteside will be eligible to play should the Eagles advance to the Super Bowl, but the recovery timeline for his surgery makes it unlikely he'll be available to play by then. The 25-year-old finished the 2021 campaign with two receptions for 36 yards on five targets over 16 games. His lack of production through his first three NFL seasons will likely put him on the roster bubble heading into 2022.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2019
The 2019 second-round pick struggled with lower-body injuries throughout his rookie season and also with drops, managing just 10 catches on 22 targets despite starting for much of the second half. Although the Eagles acquired a number of new receivers in the offseason, the 23-year-old's standout production and ball skills at Stanford should mean that his roster spot is safe and he'll get another look. Given the age and frailty ahead of him in the Eagles' receiving corps, Arcega-Whiteside likely will see the field in 2020, but he'll need to convert those opportunities in order to stay there.
The Eagles weren't lacking in wide receiver talent in advance of the 2019 draft, but that reality didn't stop GM Howie Roseman from selecting Arcega-Whiteside in the second round. Arcega-Whiteside boasts an all-around skill set that he used to reel off 10.5 YPT and 28 touchdowns on 212 targets during his three-year stint at Stanford. Even if he's unable to wrest many snaps from the top three of Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson and Nelson Agholor as a rookie, Arcega-Whiteside's red-zone prowess may help him achieve some relevance at times. After this season, the Eagles are expected to allow Agholor to move on, at which point Arcega-Whiteside will become a mainstay of the offense.
