Cushenberry signed a four-year, $50 million contract with the Titans entering the 2024 season and was locked as the team's starting center. He suffered an Achilles tear in Week 9, however, which has kept him sidelined since. Cushenberry is expected to be healthy entering training camp in 2025 and will serve as the centerpiece of a Tennessee offensive line that has the potential to come together as a strong unit. Cushenberry enters his fourth year as Denver's starting center. The 25-year-old started in just eight games last season before suffering a groin injury in November that landed him on injured reserve. Cushenberry should return to his same role for the upcoming season as he and the rest of the Broncos' offense look to turn things around after a disappointing 2022 campaign.
Cushenberry has started as center for the Broncos in his first two years, and it appears he'll likely maintain this role in the 2022 season. However, he'll be snapping the ball to a different signal caller this season with the arrival of Russell Wilson at quarterback. Both Wilson and the coaching staff have expressed their confidence in Cushenberry this offseason, so it will be his job to lose as the season approaches.
As a rookie, Cushenberry played every snap at center in 2020. The third-round pick enters the 2021 season in a competition with a third-round selection from this year's draft, Quinn Meinerz. Cushenberry will look to improve and build off his rookie campaign to fend off this challenge and remain the starter on what is shaping up to be a strong offensive line in Denver.
