Despite reports Hobbs would retire in the wake of a neck injury that landed him on IR this past season, the cornerback indicated Tuesday that no such decision has been made, the Eagles' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
That said, after seeing Hobbs land on IR the past two seasons due to neck issues, it would surprise no one if he called it career. He just hasn't made a final call yet, one way of the other.

Hobbs enters 2010 competing to start at right cornerback.
Hobbs provides depth in the secondary.
With the departure of Asante Samuel, Hobbs will be leaned on more heavily to up his production. He could see some competition from Fernando Bryant, but should see significant playing time whether listed as the number two or three corner.
Hobbs plays bigger than his size and is the fastest cornerback on the Patriots. He'll be counted on heavily in 2007, in particular is the Asante Samuel situation goes unresolved. Hobbs has shown some decent ball-hawking skills -- five picks over two seasons -- and he has also displayed some skills as a kick returner.
As a rookie last season, the smallish Hobbs recorded 44 tackles and three interceptions while appearing in all 16 of the Patriots games (eight starts). This season he is the projected starter at right cornerback, putting him in a position where his already impressive confidence and instinctiveness should continue to blossom.
Hobbs doesn't posses ideal size for a cornerback, but he is a character player who should fit well in the Patriots' system with his intangibles. Look for him to develop into a sub-package corner for the team.
