The Browns are intrigued by Hostetler's desire to return to football, Browns director of player personnel Dwight Clark said, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
"He would be a lot like Ty (Detmer), and he would know his role coming in. It would be as backup to Tim (Couch)," Clark said. The Browns still want to wait until after roster cuts are made to see who will become available, before making a decision. Hostetler is 39 years old and hasn't played in over two seasons.
