Morgan was released by the Ravens on Monday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
ANALYSIS
Known as a deep threat, Morgan didn't get a shot to use his speed in Baltimore, with the team preferring Chris Givens and Jeremy Butler behind top wideout Kamar Aiken. It isn't a great sign for Morgan's future that he was released by a team with minimal healthy talent at his position.

Morgan has had an eventful few years since signing with the Saints in 2011 as an undrafted free agent out of tiny Walsh College. Turning heads with his blazing speed, Morgan was on the cusp of making the Saints’ 53-man roster that year but suffered a season-ending knee injury in the preseason finale. Following another impressive training camp performance, Morgan made the regular-season roster in 2012, finishing the year with 10 receptions for 379 yards (37.9 YPC!) and three touchdowns and earning additional playing time as the season progressed. The success was short-lived, however, as Morgan again suffered a season-ending knee injury in 2013, and was suspended and eventually released mid-way through 2014 for both on- and off-season issues. Yet, Morgan surprisingly re-signed with New Orleans in April 2015 after reconciling with head coach Sean Payton. Still, nothing is a given, and Morgan will be in a tight battle for a roster spot. If Morgan holds off the competition – and stays out of the doghouse – he could be a sleeper in deeper leagues, as the Saints’ offense desperately lacked a big-play threat of Morgan’s caliber last season.
