Boykin signed a contract Monday with the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Boykin, who most recently played for the Bears, missed the entire 2016 season due to a pectoral injury. Presumably healthy now, the 26-year-old will compete for a reserve spot at cornerback behind projected starters Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr.

Boykin was acquired by the Steelers from the Eagles in training camp in exchange for a conditional fifth-round draft pick. In Pittsburgh, look for Boykin, who is in a contract year, to get a chance to compete for a starting cornerback job.
The Eagles saw greatly increased production from Boykin in his second NFL season. His tackles increased from 31 to 47, his forced fumbles went from one to two and interceptions jumped from zero to six. Boykin also made a big contribution in 2013 came as a kick returner, recording 1037 for the season. The addition of Sproles could eat into those numbers in 2014 if the team decides to integrate him in the return game.
Boykin, a 2012 fourth-round pick from Georgia, is the favorite to serve as Philadelphia's nickel corner and kick returner in 2013.
A fourth-round pick out of Georgia, Boykin has the skills to emerge as one of the league's best slot corners and return men in the near future. He could emerge as an IDP option surprisingly early in his career, as most opposing quarterbacks will prefer to throw the ball at Boykin or Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie rather than Nnamdi Asomugha, and Boykin could make a special teams impact after totaling five touchdowns on returns in his last three years in college.
