2018 Fantasy Outlook
Although Bray is entering his fifth year in the league, the only regular-season pass attempt the career-backup ever threw came last year, when he played four snaps in mop-up duty for the Chiefs during Week 17. After signing with the Bears this offseason, he's expected to serve as the third-string signal-caller, so expect him to be a weekly inactive as he assumes the role of the emergency quarterback. Bray signed a one-year deal with the Bears on Wednesday.
Bray spent most of 2018 on the Chicago practice squad, eventually earning a promotion to the active roster when Mitchell Trubisky injured his shoulder in November. With backup quarterback Chase Daniel still under contract, Bray figures to enter training camp as the No. 3 signal-caller.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
The strong-armed quarterback is entering his fifth year after going undrafted in 2013. Bray missed all of 2015 and was placed on injured reserve due to a torn ACL and the injury carried over some into 2016 before he was cleared. Bray outplayed both Aaron Murray and Kevin Hogan to earn a spot on the 53-man roster last season, but the club signed veteran Nick Foles to serve in the backup role behind Alex Smith. Kansas City opted not to pick up Foles' team option for 2017, but added some new competition in the form of first-round selection Patrick Mahomes. While the club hopes Mahomes will be the answer at the position in the long run, he's not guaranteed the top backup role this season, thus setting up a training camp competition between him and Bray.
Bray entered the camp as one of two favorites (along with Aaron Murray) to snag the backup job for the Chiefs, but the addition of Nick Foles has thrown a wrench into the battle. While he's reportedly distanced himself from Murray and rookie Kevin Hogan, the third-year signal-caller appears to still be stuck behind Foles for the top backup job.
Bray's 2014 season was over before it began after tearing his ACL in late August. He enters 2015 once again in a battle with Aaron Murray for the third-string quarterback job, and the loser (Murray remains the favorite) will likely be shown the door.
Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013, Bray is a big quarterback at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds with a cannon for an arm.
After going undrafted out of Tennessee, Bray will attempt to unseat third-year reserve Ricky Stanzi on the depth chart, though it remains a possibility the Chiefs will only keep two quarterbacks--likely Alex Smith and Chase Daniel--on the final 53-man roster.
