Taylor is signing a contract with the Seahawks on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks had a hole at slot corner after Justin Coleman signed with Detroit this offseason. Taylor will be an option to fill that hole, but he may not be a shoe-in after allowing 7.0 yards per coverage snap from the slot in 2018, the fifth-highest rate in the league.

Even though the Browns signed Jason McCourty in the offseason, Taylor still has a strong shot to start alongside Joe Haden when the season commences. The 26 year old has his best season as a pro in 2016, and he will be expected to contribute no matter what his role.
Taylor missed the end of last season with a shoulder injury but he's 100% healthy now and will backup Brent Grimes at left cornerback. He could also seem time as the slot cornerback.
With the addition of Cortland Finnegan to start opposite Brent Grimes at cornerback, the best chance for Taylor to see playing time will be in nickel and dime packages.
Taylor has adequate size to go along with standout athleticism and a good ability to switch between press and zone coverage. He'll compete with Richard Marshall for a starting spot in Miami.
