Johnson, who is dealing with an undisclosed injury, was waived/injured by the Jaguars on Monday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson will remain in the organization and revert to the Jaguars' injured reserve list if he goes unclaimed off waivers, a distinct possibility given that he wasn't a lock to make the team's 53-man roster even if health had prevailed.

Positive COVID-19 test emerges
CBFree Agent
December 23, 2020
Johnson's placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday is the result of a positive test, meaning he'll be sidelined for the 49ers' last two remaining games, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Schefter reports the 49ers were prepared to promote Johnson from the practice squad Monday ahead of Saturday's game against the Cardinals, in the wake of Nick Mullens (elbow) being ruled out for the contest. However, the positive test naturally scuttled those plans and also led to San Francisco signing Josh Rosen off the Buccaneers' practice squad Tuesday to serve as the backup to projected starter C.J. Beathard. Johnson last saw regular-season action in 2018 with Washington.
