Banks struggled with a knee injury most of the season and lacked some of the explosiveness he had in 2010. He didn't miss any games but his return numbers were down across the board. The Redskins signed several wide receivers in the offseason and Head Coach Mike Shanahan stated Banks will have to contribute to the offense in order to make the team.

Banks is part of a very long wide receiver depth chart in Washington. His fantasy value depends on his role as a kick off and punt return man. He loses some value with the new kickoff rules in 2011. He also will be competing with Niles Paul and other receivers the team brought in. Before suffering a knee injury that required surgery Banks was among the league leaders in kickoff and punt returns.
