Brenton Bersin

Bersin was active for only nine games last season, finishing with nine catches for 119 yards. The local Charlotte product has rounded out the Panthers’ receiving corps the past couple seasons while also featuring on special teams, but will likely have to earn his spot on the roster during training camp once again this year.

Bersin, an undrafted rookie from nearby Wofford, made the Panthers' regular season roster last year following a strong showing in training camp. While Bersin managed only 13 catches (on 20 targets) for 151 yards and one touchdown through 15 games played last season, he added extra value to the Panthers through assuming some return duties on both punts and kickoffs. This season, the 6-3, 210-pound Bersin will look to build on his understanding with quarterback Cam Newton and should feature more regularly in multi-receiver sets given his experience from last year.

Signed as an undrafted free agent, he will likely spend most of the season near the bottom of the wide receiver depth chart.
