ANALYSIS
This is a mild surprise since he started three games last year and the Colts didn't re-sign Freddy Keiaho and Tyjuan Hagler. The Colts will likely need to draft several linebackers this spring.

After failing to make the Texans roster, Davis was signed to the team's practice squad. He was then released from the practice squad in September and is currently a free agent looking for work.
Davis will provide depth at linebacker.
Davis will probably serve as a backup linebacker in his first NFL season. He believes that he would have been a top-20 pick if not for his small stature and he might be right. If Davis plays with a chip on his shoulder and displays the same raw athleticism he exhibited at Florida State, he could evolve into a solid NFL player over time.
