ANALYSIS
The former Eagles tight end and "The Bachelorette" star has reportedly given himself a three-month deadline to make an NFL comeback. Harbor spent last season out of the league and all of 2017 on injured reserve, and has played for five different teams since entering the league in 2010. The 31-year-old may have to reprise his role as an asset on special teams in order to earn a spot with a team prior to the end of training camp.

Harbor's chances of securing a role in the Patriots' tight end corps were bolstered by the fact that Michael Williams tore his left ACL prior to training camp. The 28-year-old Harbor saw just 20 targets with the Jaguars in 2015, catching 14 balls for 149 yards and a touchdown in 15 games. His fantasy value in New England thus correlates with the health of star Rob Gronkowski and talented newcomer Martellus Bennett, fellow tight ends who are expected to be used early and often in the Patriots' aerial attack.
After playing 13 games and amassing 289 yards and a touchdown on 26 catches last season, Harbor figures to see his role reduced this season. He was the beneficiary of Marcedes Lewis missing eight games in 2014, and the Jaguars added a pair of tight ends in the offseason. Julius Thomas will take over as the No. 1 tight end, while Lewis should hold down the No. 2 spot on the depth chart. After that, it will likely be a toss-up between Harbor and seventh-rounder Ben Koyack out of Notre Dame. Regardless of which player earns the No. 3 designation, neither is likely to make a major impact, barring an injury to Thomas or Lewis.
Harbor, entering his fifth season in the league, has shown to be a consistent, if not particularly titillating option at tight end. Playing as a sort of hybrid tight end/wide receiver position in his previous three seasons, Harbor gained between 160 and 300 yards on 13 to 25 catches in stops with both Philadelphia and Jacksonville. After signing a two-year extension with the Jaguars this offseason, Harbor is expected to be at full strength after breaking his ankle in last year's season finale, though he will likely split time with incumbent starter Mercedes Lewis and could see an even further reduction in his targets with the Jaguars adding skilled wide receivers Marquise Lee and Allen Robinson with early-round selections in this year's draft.
Released by the Eagles in August.
Harbor will battle with Brett Brackett to serve as top backup to Brent Celek.
Competing for Philadelphia's second tight end spot.
Harbor will work as an H-back but will see most of his playing time on special teams.
