A practice squad player last season as an undrafted free agent, Bailey likely will be a part of the secondary this season. At t 6-0, 211, he looks more like a free safety, but he can also play strong safety after learning the nuances of playing close to the line of scrimmage as a linebacker for two seasons at USC. That Pete Carroll recruited him out of high school to USC probably helps too. Earl Thomas' shoulder injury and Kam Chancellor's holdout could vault Bailey into a key role.
