Parmele was signed by the Browns on Monday, ESPN.com reports.

ANALYSIS
Parmele is a NFL journeyman, who has played for three different teams in his first four years. He most recently played for the Cardinals in 2014. Parmele was signed along with Tim Flanders in the wake of several injuries at running back for the Browns. Four of the Browns' backs (Terrance West, Duke Johnson, Glenn Winston and Luke Lundy) are currently out for the foreseeable future.

Released by the Titans in August of 2013.

Parmele will compete for a depth position and special teams role with the team, though he would be the third running back at best, with both Maurice Jones-Drew (barring a holdout into the regular season) and Rashad Jennings working in front of him.

Parmele is in the mix in the return game. However, behind Ray Rice and Ricky Williams he isn't likely to see many carries any time soon.

The Ravens are not want for ball carriers, so expect Parmele to ride the bench this season.

Parmele had just one carry last season in Week 17, and will likely end up on the practice squad. He has no fantasy value.

Parmele could challenge Patrick Cobbs for the role of third-string running back, not a terrible position to be in behind the fragile runners Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. Parmele will also contribute on special teams.
