2022 Fantasy Outlook
Crowder moves to Buffalo to replace Cole Beasley in the slot, looking to rebound from last
year's career lows for yards per catch and yards per target. The 29-year-old should improve his
efficiency going from the Jets to Josh Allen and the Bills, but there are still some other potential
problems, including Crowder's inability to stay healthy in recent years (16 missed games the last
four seasons). On the other hand, he's been saddled with poor QB play his entire career and
has nonetheless managed PPR value at times as a pure slot specialist. In Buffalo, he'll be
behind Stefon Diggs and breakout candidate Gabriel Davis, perhaps seeing more targets if
Davis fails to meet expectations. Read Past Outlooks

Signing with Giants
Crowder is slated to sign a one-year deal with the Giants, per Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.
ANALYSIS
A fractured ankle limited Crowder to just four regular-season games with the Bills in 2022, during which time he recorded six catches for 60 yards. Now that he's presumably past his ankle issues, the 29-year-old will have a chance to compete for slot snaps in the Giants' wide receiver corps.

Miles Sanders helped set the free agent running back market into motion Wednesday by agreeing to a four-year contract with Carolina.

Olamide Zaccheaus didn't get much usage in Atlanta, but the former Virginia star could find an opportunity in free agency.

Zay Jones soars to the top of Week 13 waivers lists after hitting the Ravens for 11 catches and 145 yards. It was a surprise to most, but perhaps not for Target Breakdown readers.

Crowder has been reasonably productive for the Jets the last couple years, leading the team in catches and scoring 12 times over that span. He’s in the final year of his deal but agreed to a restructured contract in June. He could still be traded or released, which might be likely after the team selected Elijah Moore, a much faster version of Crowder, with the 34th pick in this year's draft. Should Crowder remain on the Jets, he’d have to compete with Moore, Corey Davis and 2020 second-round pick Denzel Mims for targets. At 5-9, 177, and with 4.56 speed, Crowder is the prototypical NFL slot receiver — small and not particularly fast, but quick, shifty and able to run good routes. He should draw interest from receiver-needy teams, though at press time, he’s still with the Jets.
