Undrafted in 2012, Joe Banyard has carved out a career for himself as a journeyman backup and special teams contributor. He comes to the Bills in an interesting situation following the free agent departure of backup running back Mike Gillislee. As unlikely as it sounds, one can imagine a scenario where Banyard outperforms Jonathan Williams to earn the second-string gig and ends up seeing snaps in relief of LeSean McCoy. It's the lottery ticket to end all lottery tickets, but if he beats out Williams and McCoy goes down with an injury, Banyard could end up seeing starting RB reps for the team that led the league in rushing last year.
