ANALYSIS
Vaughan has made a name for himself during the preseason, and the 65-yard touchdown run he had against the Jaguars could go a long way in helping him earn a spot on the 53-man roster. With three capable backs ahead of him on the depth chart, though, Vaughan will have a nervous next few days.

Vaughan will try to make the squad and serve as running back depth in 2013.

Vaughn could get some looks as the team's No. 3 running back, although DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are likely to dominate the touches out of the backfield. Add in the possibility of Mike Tolbert getting a few of his own and there may not be many opportunities left for Vaughn.

Vaughn will have to really fight for his roster spot, as he is behind a number of talented running backs on the depth chart.

Likely destined for the practice squad given Carolina's depth at RB.
