Keith Tandy

Entering 2016, Tandy once again projected as a depth safety who was more valued for his special-teams work. While the sixth-year pro did log 258 snaps on return and coverage units, he tallied 404 on defense in what was a breakout season. The 28-year-old saw additional playing time at the tail end of last season due to injuries to Chris Conte and compiled 40 tackles (30 solo) over the final four games of the campaign, as well as four interceptions over the last five contests. He finished with career highs in tackles (57), solo stops (46), passes defensed (nine) and interceptions (four), yet still projects to enter training camp as a reserve behind starters J.J. Wilcox and Chris Conte. However, if Tandy were to regain a starting spot due to either performance or injury, he's proven capable of offering strong IDP value with sufficient snaps.

Tandy returns for a fifth season with the team that drafted him after inking a one-year deal in March. The West Virginia product tallied a career-high 42 tackles (28 solo) in 2015 and his positional versatility allowed him to make two starts at safety while also seeing time on the nickel. However, Chris Conte appears firmly in possession of the free safety job entering the season, likely relegating Tandy to a backup role that will considerably cap his IDP upside.

Tandy could play as a backup at safety and special-teams player.

Depth safety who showed some ability with 40 tackles in a mostly reserve role as a rookie in 2013. He will be hard pressed to match that production in 2014 with the likes of Major Wright around now.
