Waived by Dallas
The Cowboys waived Hajrullahu on Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Hajrullahu was splitting time equally with Brett Maher, but the former appears to have lost the job after being let go. As a rookie last season, Hajrullahu appeared in four games -- three with Carolina and one with Dallas -- and connected on 4-of-5 field goals and all eight of his extra-point tries.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
Hajrullahu played for three CFL teams the last six years, earning a pair of All-Star nods and kicking the game-winner in a Grey Cup. In Los Angeles, he will compete with XFL standout Austin MacGinnis and rookie Sam Sloman to replace Greg Zuerlein. This isn't the prime setup for kicking volume that existed in 2017-18, as the Rams finished last season 11th in yards per play (5.7) and 22nd in turnovers (24).

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Locked in kicking battle
Dallas signed Hajrullahu on Friday to compete with Jonathan Garibay for the team's starting kicker job this offseason, according to Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News.
ANALYSIS
Hajrullahu spent time on the Cowboys' practice squad and even played one game in place of starting kicker Greg Zuerlein due to injury last season. The 32-year-old Hajrullahu ended the 2021 campaign with Carolina, converting four of five field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries over three games with the team. Hajrullahu's advanced age and his extremely limited NFL playing experience outside of these four combined contests may hold him back in Dallas' kicking competition this offseason.
