Easley never saw the field in 2016 as he recovered from knee surgery. The wideout had just three receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown in his six seasons with the Bills. Since Easley came into the league in 2012, he has hauled in only three passes. Two of those catches came in 2013 and one came last year, a 58-yard bomb against the Jaguars. Three catches in five years is not a sign of an impactful fantasy player, and unless injuries occur along the Bills' roster, he likely won't be worthy of a roster spot in standard formats during the upcoming season. It also doesn't help that Easley shattered his kneecap in Week 16 of the 2015 season, an injury that is still hindering him during training camp and led to his placement on PUP to start the season. He currently sits behind Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin, Greg Salas, Greg Little and others on the Bills' wide receiver depth chart.
Bills fans are still waiting for Easley to make an impact on the field. The 2010 4th round pick has good size and speed in a straight line, but he hasn't shown the playmaking ability to warrant significant playing time.
Easley will battle to be the #6 receiver on the Bills roster, so any sort of impact for fantasy is a longshot at best.
Good size/speed combination at wide receiver, but the reality is that Easley is competing to be the #5 or #6 receiver for the Bills. There isn't a great opportunity for him to produce fantasy points in 2013.
Easley has yet to play an NFL game after his first two seasons have been ruined with injury and illness. While that's taken some of the luster off the high hopes the Bills originally had for him, the skills and size are still there. After looking good in the spring and getting a clean bill of health, if he can hit training camp running strong in training camp there would be a legitimate shot at the open No. 2 receiver slot across from Stevie Johnson, a spot that right now could go to one of a whole host of candidates. Put Easley in that mix, though Donald Jones is a slight favorite over everyone else entering the summer, with Easley and Derek Hagan probably following the closest.
People have been saying good things about Easley all offseason, so while he's going to have a tough time cracking a top-3 spot in what's essentially his first year, especially after a minor knee injury (the one he had surgically repaired his rookie season) set him back in training camp, it seems almost a certainty that last year's touted fourth-rounder will make the team and is probably worth keeping an eye on for a year or two down the road, if not even sooner following the Lee Evans trade.
Easley, a rookie fourth-rounder from Connecticut, has made a good impression on the new coaching staff and even saw time during OTAs lining up with the first unit opposite Lee Evans. With Evans locked into the No. 1 role and Roscoe Parrish looking like the No. 3 split end, Easley looks like he might get a fair shot at the No. 2 position this summer. James Hardy and Steve Johnson look like better bets for that role, but don't rule the rookie out either. Chad Jackson is the other guy with a viable shot at winning a meaningful role. Don't expect too much production from Easley, but the promise is there for future years.

Easley, who shattered his kneecap in three places during Week 16, is mostly recovered and is hoping to be on the field for at least part of training camp, BuffaloBills.com reports. "Based on the original prognosis, they said six-to-nine months, so we're getting close to that point," said Easley. "So it'll be interesting to see where I stand in a couple of weeks. I feel that will determine where things go."
