Past Fantasy Outlooks
2019
2018
A 2017 fourth-round pick, Nicholson lost his starting job midway through last season when Washington acquired HaHa Clinton-Dix in a trade with the Packers. Nicholson then struggled with injuries and an off-field incident during the second half of the season, but he avoided a suspension once chargers were dropped. While strong safety Landon Collins is a far better bet for IDP production, Nicholson at least seems to have the inside track for the starting job at free safety.
A 2017 fourth-round pick, Nicholson started six of the eight games he played as a rookie, missing time with a shoulder injury and a concussion. He's expected to start at strong safety in 2018, but free safety D.J. Swearinger is actually the sure bet for tackles. Nicholson does offer some IDP upside, especially if he gets to spend more time near the line of scrimmage.
