Hardwick has long been the anchor of the San Diego offensive line and has not missed a start since 2009. He will once again lead the unit into battle as the starting center in 2014.

The third round draft choice might be rushed into service sooner than expected in 2004 since the projected opening day starter at center is in the midst of contract squabbles with the team. Hardwick has average speed and solid upper body strength.
