Quentin Jammer

The veteran returns for his eleventh season as a starting corner in San Diego. Jammer is a solid cover guy who is usually good for about 60 tackles per year. He did not have any interceptions in 2011 but he has had as many as four twice in his career.

Jammer has quietly become one of the better corners in the league over his ten-year career. His 45 tackles in 2010 were a bit below his career average, but he made two interceptions and has tallied double digit picks in four out of the last five years.

Jammer is one of the most solid all-around corners in the league, and he should be good for three or four interceptions and about 60 tackles as usual.

Jammer has quietly become one of the top shut-down corners in the league without the benefit of any real eye-popping statistics. He only had a total of three interceptions over the last two seasons, and he has never scored a touchdown in his seven year career. But despite this fact, he is a reliable corner that rarely gives up the big play, so he fits the Chargers defense like a glove. Expect about 60 tackles and, if you are lucky, a handful of picks this year.

Jammer is expected to play alongside Antonio Cromartie to make up one of the NFL's best corner duos. Jammer never racks up high INT totals, but is a consistent producer of tackles and might benefit from having Cromartie lined up on the opposite side of the field.

Jammer returns as the number one corner in San Diego. He has his best season as a pro last year when he tied a career-high with four interceptions and finished second on the team with 89 tackles.

Jammer has steadily improved in each of his four NFL seasons, and he set career highs with 72 tackles and 19 passes defensed in 2005. He needs to improve on his interception totals, but he is starting to become the shutdown corner that the Chargers so desperately need.

Jammer is one of the biggest keys to the success of the defense as he begins his fourth season as a starting corner in the NFL. Long regarded as one of the most talented young corners in the league, it is time for him to start living up to the hype. Last year, he boldly predicted that he would have thirteen picks but came up considerably short with only one interception on the season. Heading into 2005, all of the talk in camp is that he has been looking great, and with this being his second year in the 3-4 alignment, all signs point to a big year for Jammer.

Jammer is blossoming into an excellent cover corner. In his first full season as a starter in 2003, he lead the team in interceptions and passes defensed. He should have another solid year and could become an elite player if the Chargers can improve their dismal pass rush.
