Thomas does not have the talent to start for long. Unless first round pick Brian Orakpo really struggles in his transition to OLB, Washington's top three at linebacker (Fletcher, McIntosh and Orakpo) will keep Thomas off the field. Even if Thomas does play, you shouldn't consider playing him under any circumstances.
Thomas will be the Raiders' starting strong-side linebacker. Don't expect much from Thomas with Kirk Morrison and Thomas Howard playing alongside him.
Backup MLB had decent season in 2006 and was rewarded with a new 3-year contract in the offseason. Kirk Morrison is a stud and the only way Thomas would have meaningful fantasy value would be if Morrison were to go down with an injury.
Traded to the Packers on Sept. 3, Thomas could find himself with more playing time in Green Bay in 2005 than he would've seen in St. Louis.
