Lilja agreed to come out of a brief retirement to sign on with the Broncos, who lost their top two centers to season-ending injuries earlier in camp. While Lilja battled injuries of his own last season with the Chiefs, he'll relish the opportunity to play for a contender as well as former teammate Peyton Manning, who occasionally took snaps from Lilja during their time together in Indianapolis.
