Schillinger, who missed the entire 2012 season with a torn ligament in his foot, said he's not quite 100 percent healthy yet, but he's close, the Billings Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Schillinger opted not to have surgery, and it's been seven months since he suffered the initial injury. He's optimistic that he'll be able to participate in the full slate of offseason workouts that begin on April 22. He has one year left on his contract, but right now he's just focused on securing his roster spot.

Schillinger will attempt pass William Moore on the depth chart for the role of starting strong safety, but he's still recovering from a knee injury. At this point, it appears the job will go to Moore. Schillinger may see some work here and there, but he won't have a big role in the defense.
Schillinger will back up Thomas Decoud at free safety in 2012.
Schillenger will back up Thomas DeCoud at free safety in 2011. He had trouble staying healthy last season, but he's number two on the depth chart even if he can stay on the field.
Schillinger will be used on special teams and backup Erik Coleman and William Moore at strong safety.
