				ANALYSIS
Despite reaching an agreement with CBS to serve as the network's No. 1 color commentator for NFL games, Romo seemingly isn't quite ready to shut the door on the possibility of playing one more season. He was released by the Cowboys last week, giving him the freedom to sign with any team if he ultimately decides to play. While it seems Romo's intention is to focus on his new career in broadcasting, a desperate team with a contending roster might be able to woo him away with an offer at some point between the upcoming draft and Week 1. The Texans, in particular, might be willing to offer him a hefty one-year contract if they don't select a quarterback early in the draft.

        Measurables Review

How do Tony Romo's measurables compare to other quarterbacks?

This section compares his draft workout metrics with players at the same position. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that metric and it would be considered average.

The Cowboys' season essentially ended just after it began, as a routine sack in Week 2 broke Romo's collarbone and left the franchise staring directly into the abyss of what life will be like when the 36-year-old QB finally hangs up his cleats. Romo did make it back onto the field in Week 11, but lasted fewer than eight quarters before re-fracturing his clavicle and being officially lost for the season. When he's healthy, he's still the free-wheeling heart of the offense, using his mobility to extend plays and his arm and accuracy to connect with a strong group of receivers that includes Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. Even aside from the injuries, though, 2015 was statistically Romo's worst season since taking over as the Cowboys' starting quarterback in 2006, and he threw for more INTs than TDs for the first time in his career. Dallas elected to take some pressure off Romo by drafting running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick, hoping to return to the offensive balance they had in 2014 when Romo posted a career-best 113.2 QB rating. After sustaining a compression fracture of his L1 vertebra this preseason, he won't experience that reality until at least midseason. In the meantime, rookie Dak Prescott will direct the offense.
