Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Medical concerns caused the two-time All-American to drop to the second round of the 2025 Draft, but the Cardinals scooped him up 47th overall, which was fortuitous considering starting outside CB Sean Murphy-Bunting later was revealed to be out for the season due to a knee injury and then Starling Thomas, another starting corner, suffered a torn ACL in training camp. Johnson picked off nine passes and returned three of them for TDs in 32 games at Michigan, and assuming he holds up, health-wise, he should be in the mix right away for the snaps vacated by Murphy-Bunting and Thomas along with Max Melton. Won't play Thursday
Johnson (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Seahawks, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson will miss a second consecutive game due to a groin injury that he suffered during the Cardinals' Week 2 win over the Panthers. Kei'Trel Clark should continue to see additional work in the Cardinals' secondary for as long as Johnson is sidelined. Johnson's next opportunity to play is Week 5 against the Titans on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Pushing for bigger role
Johnson impressed coach Jonathan Gannon during Sunday's Week 1 win over the Saints, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson served as Arizona's third corner, logging 45 out of 75 defensive snaps. He played exclusively out wide and allowed four catches on seven targets, but only surrendered 32 yards and stood out with a huge hit on Chris Olave. Gannon noted he only saw Johnson make one mistake in his pro debut, so the rookie is likely to see his role expand as the season progresses.
