2025 Fantasy Outlook
Simply put Scheffler had one of the greatest PGA Tour seasons we have ever seen racking up nearly $30 million highlighted by his seven victories, including a second Masters title. Scheffler topped about every important stat you can think of including scoring average, SG: Total and birdie average. A big key to his success in 2024 was his improvement on the greens over the season prior when he won only twice and ranked 162nd in SG: Putting. The ball-striking was largerly the same in 2024, but his SG: Putting rank went up to 77th. If Scheffler putts well almost nobody is going to beat him. That being said, it would be foolish to project Scheffler to break his own record for earnings in a season in 2025, but another multi-win season seems almost inevitable. Read Past Outlooks
Can't close season with victory
Scheffler carded a two-under 68 in the final round of the TOUR Championship to finish in a share of fourth place.
ANALYSIS
Scheffler had been by far the best player on the PGA Tour in 2025, but with the format change this year he began the TOUR Championship with no advantage in his quest to win back-to-back FedExCup titles. Scheffler battled hard this week, but it was quite clear that he just did not have his best stuff. He was mid-pack in SG: Off-the-Tee, SG: Approach and SG: Putting, three areas he has been really strong in most of this year. Scheffler made up for it by ranking second in SG: Around-the-Green, but a T4 and four shots back of the lead was the best he could do after 72 holes around East Lake. Scheffler closes the season having posted 21 consecutive rounds in the 60s and 14 straight top-8 finishes. He claimed five total victories including a pair of major championships and never finished outside the top-25 in any event. Scheffler said that he will play the Procore Championship in a couple week's time to help prepare for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage.

Scheffler's earnings north of $21 million in the 2022-23 season set a PGA Tour record, bolstered by early-season wins at the Phoenix Open and Players Championship, as well as 13 top-five finishes in 23 starts. At 27, he displayed one of the most impressive ball-striking seasons on record, though his putting often left him just short of victories over the summer. A similar pattern emerged in the 2021-22 season, with four early wins followed by several near misses. While it might be unrealistic to expect Scheffler to exceed $20 million in earnings again, his current consistency is unparalleled. He should be the top pick in any fantasy format, even without certainty about his performance on the greens.
