Past Fantasy Outlooks
Bozzelli played above average in exactly two events last season, but that was just enough to secure his card for the upcoming season. Bozelli found his best form at the Career Builder Challenge with a top-5 and at the Valspar Championship when he posted his best finish of the season, a T3. Other than that, Bozelli didn't accomplish much as he earned only two additional top-25s during the entire season. That said, Bozzelli accomplished goal number one of every rookie and that's to retain his privileges for the following season. Bozzelli didn't show a lot of upside last season, but his number is pretty low for a young guy who is fully exempt.
Four top-10s propelled Bozzelli to the big time, including a victory in June at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship. Middle rounds of 63-64 and a winning score of 24-under clinched his spot on the PGA Tour for 2016-17 and a playoff loss just weeks later at the LECOM Health Challenge where he closed with 66 on Sunday proved he has closing power. He missed eight cuts in 18 starts, which isn't a great percentage and something he'll have to improve at the next level, but his average driving distance of 304.2 yards will be helpful as long as he can hit more greens. His 127th GIR rank won't cut it on the tour.
