2025 Fantasy Outlook
Schmid solidified his card through a strong fall that included back-to-back top-5s, but he struggled prior with more missed cuts (12) than made ones (10). His two best results before the fall both came in alternate events, so there's a question on if he can compete against better competition. With that said, Schmid is only 27-years-old and entering his third season on Tour, and is a decent ball striker having ranked 47th in SG: Off-the-tee and also gained strokes on approach. He could take a step forward and compete for a spot in the playoffs in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Captures top-20 finish in Scotland
Schmid carded a one-over par 71 in the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open to finish in a tie for 17th.
ANALYSIS
Schmid came to Scotland off of his fifth top-10 finish of the year at the BMW International Open. Therefore, it was no surprise when Schmid came out firing with a five-under par 65 in the first round and a two-under par 68 in the second round. Schmid relied on a hot putter in his first two rounds, gaining over five shots against the field in SG: Putting. However, the putter cooled off on the weekend and he wasn't able to score as well as he did in the first two days. While Schmid wasn't able to follow one top-10 with another, it's still another solid performance to add to his impressive season.

2024
2023
There wasn't really much for Schmid to write home about after finishing the regular season 148th in the FedExCup. Unlike a number of other player, Schmid went right over to Europe to play and stay warm for the FedExCup Fall events. That strategy worked out as he notched a solo third in Bermuda to make a big leap and ultimately secure full playing status again for 2024. Schmid is top-10 on the PGA Tour in driving distance, but the rest of the game needs work if he is going to put together more consistent results. There is certainly long-term upside because of the distance, but there's also a good chance he finds himself in a similar place next fall after only making 12-of-30 cuts in 2022-23.
