Tyler Duncan
Tyler Duncan
30-Year-Old Golfer
2019–20 Fantasy Outlook
Duncan has made the cut in 34 of 60 total starts on the PGA Tour over the last two seasons, but he's only compiled a trio of top-10s during this span and has yet to surpass the $1M mark in single-season earnings. He dropped to 163rd in the FedEx Cup standings to end the 2018-19 campaign, though he ranked 14th in driving accuracy and 41st in GIR percentage despite losing strokes from tee to green. Duncan's clutch top-5 at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship will allow him to retain status, but a lousy putter continues to hinder his birdie or better percentage. Read Past Outlooks
Notches first win in playoff
November 24, 2019
Duncan defeated Webb Simpson on the second playoff hole to win the RSM Classic after shooting a five-under 65 on Sunday.
Duncan was clutch down the stretch, as he birdied each of the last two holes to catch Simpson at 19-under-par. Both players would par the 18th on the first playoff hole, but Duncan would birdie it on the second go-around to win his first career victory. The 30-year-old only made one bogey all week. He finished third in SG: Approach and second in SG: Tee-to-green. Duncan is in a great place heading into the mini-offseason. We will see him in the Tournament of Champions at the beginning of January thanks to his win.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
A tale of two seasons for Duncan last season as he spent the majority of the first half of the season slamming the trunk on Friday, while the second half of the season he was grinding it out on the weekend. While Duncan made plenty of cuts during the second half of the season, he wasn't getting much done on the weekend. His only top-10 during that span came at the Zurich Classic, which is, of course, a team event. Duncan's only solo top-10 came in his first start of the season in fall. In all, it wasn't a terribly impressive rookie season for Duncan. He did accomplish goal No. 1, which is to earn your card for the following season, but he didn't accomplish much beyond that. It doesn't look like Duncan is on the fast track to success, and as such, it might be a while before he makes his mark.
Duncan's last three years on the Web.com Tour have finally grew into a PGA Tour card as he posted a strong T5 finish at the Albertson's Boise Open to secure his rookie season on the PGA Tour. The Purdue graduate has recorded two runner-ups and a handful of top-10 in the last three years on the Web.com Tour, but how that translates to the PGA Tour will be a story we'll soon find out. The fact that Duncan has yet to win on any major tour is a bit of a concern, so avoid his capped upside in salary cap leagues and avoid him until after the 12th round in draft leagues.
