Maverick McNealy
24-Year-Old Golfer
2019–20 Fantasy Outlook
McNealy made his PGA Tour debut as a bright-eyed 18-year-old back in 2014 when he qualified for the U.S. Open, and despite making 16 additional appearances since that point, he'll still be eligible for the Rookie of the Year award quest throughout the 2019-20 campaign after earning full status via the Korn Ferry Tour's Regular Season Points List. The former Stanford standout, who won the 2015 Haskins Award as the nation's top collegiate golfer, notched top-3 finishes at the LECOM Suncoast Classic and Ellie Mae Classic on the KFT in 2019. He also ranked sixth or better among his peers in both putting and birdie average. Well known for his family's fortune off the course, McNealy should be taking golf notes from girlfriend Danielle Kang of LPGA fame. Read Past Outlooks
T5 at Pebble Beach
February 9, 2020
McNealy fired a four-under 68 on Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish nine-under and tied for fifth.
McNealy got out to a slow start with back-to-back 72s to begin the week, but he played his final 36 holes in a collective nine-under-par to notch the best result of his young PGA Tour career. He gained over six strokes with the flat stick during Sunday's final round at Pebble Beach, but he hit just seven of 14 fairways in regulation. McNealy has now made the cut in nine consecutive starts, but he won't be in the field for this week's Genesis Invitational.
