Andrew Landry
Andrew Landry
32-Year-Old Golfer
2018–19 Fantasy Outlook
Landry was a rookie on the PGA Tour during the 2015-2016 season and to put it lightly, he wasn't very good. He got his game back together the following season while on the Tour, which bought him another opportunity on the PGA Tour. He didn't waste his opportunity this time. Landry has won events in three of his past four seasons, two of which were on the Tour, but hey, winning is tough on any tour. The point is, the rough rookie season on the PGA Tour looks like the outlier now. Landry produces, but he's not necessarily consistent. Last season he was all over the map. He book-ended four missed cuts and a T42 with a runner-up and a win. Landry looks like a winner and he should be a factor on the PGA Tour for years to come. As for this season, he's probably not a great salary cap selection because the lack of consistency. Couple that with an abundance of talent right in the same salary range and it makes it easier to pass on him. Read Past Outlooks
Solo third place at John Deere
July 14, 2019
Landry closed with a two-under 69 on Sunday at the John Deere Classic to finish in solo third place.
Starting the final round with a share of the lead, he got off to a great start by birdieing the first two holes. Landry just seem to struggle after that, however, going even-par over the final 16 holes. A birdie at the last did give him solo third place, though. Landry ranked ninth in SG: Putting and 11th in SG: Tee-to-green. This was his first top-10 finish of the season. Landry now sits just inside the line to make it to the FedExCup playoffs. He will not be in the field for the Open Championship.
