A former collegiate standout at the University of Illinois, Dumont de Chassart's rookie campaign on the PGA Tour didn't go as planned in 2024 when he finished just 166th in the FedExCup standings with 15 missed cuts. However, he bounced back on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2025, notching six top-10s and a clutch win at the Compliance Solutions Championship in October. Dumont de Chassart posted a one-under 69 in the final round at the Sony Open to finish tied for 24th.

Dumont de Chassart started the tournament strongly with a six-under 64 opening round before following that up with a 67 in the second, but the Belgian dropped out of contention after posting a three-over 73 during the third round Saturday. He finished third and 10th in the field in SG: Off the Tee and SG: Around the Green, respectively, but he ranked near the bottom with a dreadful SG: Putting of minus-3.2. Still, it was Dumont de Chassart's first top-25 finish at a PGA Tour event since December of 2024, and he will look to carry any momentum from Hawaii into The American Express tournament next week.

Almost immediately after posting a T7 individual finish while leading the University of Illinois to the Match Play portion of the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship alongside fellow PING First-Team All American Tommy Kuhl, Dumont de Chassart found himself hoisting hardware upon the conclusion of his Korn Ferry Tour debut, winning the BMW Charity Pro-Am in a playoff in June. The 23-year-old Belgian advanced to a playoff the very next week at the Kansas Wichita Open before placing T2, and he didn't finish any worse than T10 until his seventh KFT start. He ended the 2023 KFT campaign with a somewhat limited 11-event sample, but he paced the Tour in both scoring average and birdie average, nonetheless. It wouldn't be surprising to hear "ADdC" at the forefront of the eventual 2024 Rookie of the Year conversation.
