Bid for first win comes up short
Garcia-Heredia fell in a playoff against Matt Wallace at the Omega European Masters and had to settle for solo second.
ANALYSIS
Garcia-Heredia fired a four-under 66 in the final round to post 11-under in the clubhouse. It was even more impressive considering he started two-over through his first four holes on Sunday. Wallace was able to match that number with a par on the 72nd hole and then hit a great shot on the first playoff hole to outlast Garcia-Heredia. The 42 year old nearly got to taste victory for the first time on the DP World Tour, but that day will have to wait. The Spaniard does move up to 58th in the Race to Dubai standings and will look to build on it at the Irish Open.
