Past Fantasy Outlooks
2008
2007
Brett Wetterich burst upon the scene two years ago with a win at the Byron Nelson Championship. He followed that up with a solid Sophomore season were he earned over $2 million. Wetterich has yet to find the consistency that would bring him to the next level, but he's got the game to win any given week. Last year he failed to get a victory, but he did finish runner-up at WGC CA Championship. 2008 should be similar to previous years for Wetterich, he'll miss plenty of cuts, but he'll show up big a couple times also. On February 11, 2008 Wetterich was diagnosed as having a torn labrum (shoulder). A second opinion is being sought and the possibilities are therapy or arthroscopic surgery. Wetterich sees Dr. James Andrews, prominent orthopaedic surgeon on March 11 for a decision on treatment. If he has surgery he could be out for five or six months. Wetterich has been playing regularly since early March seemingly without impairment.
