Shinkwin was among the closest chasers of Rory McIlroy coming into the final round. Things got off to a very slow start with bogeys on three of the first six holes. The Englishman was able to recover and play the final 12 holes in six-under, including birdies on 17 and 18. Shinkwin won the Cazoo Open last fall and was also T2 at the Alfred Dunhill Links. He now moves to 11th in the Race to Dubai rankings and will tee it up at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.
