Roberts shot the low round of the tournament -- a 61 -- on Wednesday and entered Thursday's final round atop the leaderboard, but he could not go that low a second day in a row and finished three shots behind winner Zach Smith. Roberts did not fare well in a couple recent Golden State Tour events, but his next appearance figures to come on the Outlaw Tour, a circuit on which he has run off three consecutive top-5s, including a win in the most recent of those instances.
