2025 Fantasy Outlook
Young showed improvement in his second season on Tour, although it wasn't without some bumps in the road considering he went through a 17-tournament stretch with 11 missed cuts. His T5 finish at the John Deere Classic was his second career top-5, and he contended in Cabo late in the year, finishing one shot out of a playoff. Young's around the green play is notably poor - he ranked in the bottom-15 in SG: Around-the-Green for a second straight year, but he is an accurate driver and good putter that's capable of making the playoffs if the around the green play improves. Surges to top-5 at JDC
Young fired a seven-under 64 in the final round of the John Deere Classic to collect a share of fifth place.
ANALYSIS
Young's 64 on Sunday moved him up 16 positions from where he began the round. He did most of his work early with birdies on five of the first six holes. Young did go bogey-free, but only added two birdies at 14 and 17 coming in. On this bunched leaderboard two more birdies would have put him in a playoff. Nevertheless, this is still Young's best finish of the season. He was 16th in SG: Approach and 15th in SG: Putting at the JDC and will hope to carry that into the ISCO Championship.

Like many rookies, Young stumbled out of the gates in his debut season, making just three of his first 13 cuts before finding form with a T-3 at the alternate event Puerto Rico Open. He got through sectional qualifying to play in his first major championship at LA Country Club (where he missed the cut) and ended up with a decent six top-20s on the season. The biggest obstacle for Young is around-the-green play, where he ranked a dreadful 185th. Combine that with having below average length and Young will struggle to stay inside the top-125 without some serious improvements in his short game.
