2026 Fantasy Outlook
Phillips was a far more consistent player in 2024, but he was able to do just enough in 2025 to retain his PGA Tour card. Most of that was due to his runner-up finish in Bermuda late in the year. Phillips missed 13 cuts last season and was 133rd in SG: Total. His ball striking was a real struggle, but he did perform well in the short-game department. In 2024, Phillips ranked 57th in SG: Total and 20th in scoring average. There's clearly some potential, but getting back to that point won't be easy. A fast start in 2026 would do wonders to get Phillips some momentum for the long haul. Read Past Outlooks
Notches first top-10 of season
Phillips closed with a one-under 71 on Sunday at the Valero Texas Open to finish 13-under and tied for eighth.
ANALYSIS
Phillips' final round at TPC San Antonio was highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 17th hole, where he stuck a 302-yard drive to four feet before sinking the short putt for his deuce. He ultimately finished the event ranked No. 1 among the field in both SG: Putting and putts per GIR, though he hit just 38 of 72 total greens in regulation. The T8 result is Phillips' first top-10 finish of the season, and it ascends him from 126th to 96th in the FedExCup standings.

2025
2024
Unlike some of the other rookies, Phillips had a quicker start to the year with a pair of top-25s in his first four starts and a T3 at the Valspar Championship in March. He never had a finish better than T10 thereafter, but did enough to finish inside the top-100 of the FedExCup. Phillips' ball-striking metrics are average at best with his strength being driving accuracy, and he gained strokes putting in 10 of his last 13 tournaments. He projects as a career grinder type player with a steady floor, with the potential to compete on shorter tracks.
