Chris Gotterup

26-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
It didn't take Gotterup long to pick up his first PGA Tour win, as he took down the alternate event Myrtle Beach Classic in May in his rookie campaign. That was one of the few bright spots for the 2022 Haskins Award winner, as the win was his only top-10, and he only had four top-25s all year. He's one of the longest hitters on Tour (fifth in driving distance), but he's also incredibily sporadic off the tee and was only 163rd in SG: Approach. Unless he cleans up those areas significantly, he's likely to continue to be inconsistent, but his length advantage is massive and should occasionally get him into contention on his spike putting weeks. Notches top-10 finish
August 25, 2025
Gotterup closed with a four-under 66 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 10th place at the TOUR Championship.
ANALYSIS
Gotterup had struggled in the first two legs of the FedExCup Playoffs, but seemed to get back to form at the TOUR Championship. He led the field in driving distance and was also third in SG: Off-the-Tee, ninth in SG: Approach and T5 in GIR's for the week. Gotterup put together a very strong sophomore season on the PGA Tour that included picking up his second career victory at the Genesis Scottish Open. It was one of four top-10s and 13 top-25 finishes on the campaign. Gotterup has an outside shot at a Captain's pick for the U.S. Ryder Cup Team, but if not has certainly earned some time off. It will be fun to see what he has in store for 2026 now that he has the confidence he can compete and beat some of the best in the sport.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Gotterup made three consecutive cuts at the PGA Tour level during the fall series in 2022, but he'll become a full-time cardholder for the first time in 2024 thanks in large part to 14 total top-25s on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023. The University of Oklahoma product already exhausted his rookie eligibility with eight starts in 2021-22, when he notably tied for fourth at the John Deere Classic. Gotterup led the KFT in driving distance this past season, while also ranking top-10 in GIR percentage and birdie average.
