2025 Fantasy Outlook
If not for injuries, the narrative around English would be much different. English was a solid player on the PGA Tour over his first five seasons, but then injuries started creeping up, and his game suffered for the next three seasons. He got his game back in 2020 and he parlayed that into his best season on tour in 2021, when he earned over $6 million. He had another setback in 2022, but like he does, he bounced back again and posted a great 2023 season. He played well in 2024, but didn't quite resemble the guy from 2023 or 2021. English is just 35 years-old, so he shouldn't be fading just yet. The question is, can he stay healthy? It's a bit of a risk, but his upside warrants a look this year in salary cap leagues. Posts four rounds in the 60s
English posted a final round three-under 67 at the TOUR Championship to finish tied for 13th place.
ANALYSIS
English had a steady but unspectacular closing round with four birdies and one bogey to finish in the top half of the field. It was his fourth consecutive round in the 60s, but he was unable to go low at East Lake, which was yielding many low scores. English led the field in GIR for the tournament but was held back by his short game as he only bested four golfers in SG: Around the green.

English certainly timed out his hot weeks well, notching top-three finishes at two of the designated events and soaring up the 2022-23 earnings leaderboard. He also added a T8 at the U.S. Open but failed to make it to the TOUR Championship for the second straight year. 159th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 165th in GIR percentage are two areas he needs to improve for 2024 instead of relying mostly on the putter. English still has some good years left in the tank at just 34, but his eight top-25s in 30 starts are certainly less than want to see considering the other players he finished near in earnings for 2022-23. That said, no one would be too surprised to see the Georgia product pick up a fifth PGA Tour win in 2024.
