ANALYSIS
Niebrugge hadn't made a cut on Tour since his sixth-place finish at the 2015 British Open, when he finished as the low amateur. Having turned professional since then, the 23-year-old will take home nearly $60K in earnings for his performance at the U.S. Open this time around. It helped that Niebrugge was familiar with the course, as he went to high school just 23 miles east of Erin Hills in Mequon, WI. The Oklahoma State product will continue his quest for a Tour card moving forward.
