Surges to top-10 at Indian Open

Manassero posted a four-under 68 in the final round of the Hero Indian Open on the DP World Tour to finish tied with David Law for ninth.

ANALYSIS
Manassero opened the final round strongly with three birdies over his first four holes, and his score of 68 ended up being the best in the field Sunday. He wasn't great off the tee, though he did rank in the top-15 in strokes gain on Approach, Tee-to-Green and Around-the-Green. It was Manassero's first top-10 finish of the 2026 DP World Tour season and his best outing since the RBC Canadian Open on the PGA Tour in July of 2025 (T6).

One of the great amateurs of this century looked like he was destined to be one of the top European players in the world for years after a great start to his professional career. Manassero went into a major slump about five years ago, however, and has been trying to dig his way back ever since. After earning his DP World Tour card back with two wins on the Challenge Tour in 2023, Manassero has now earned a PGA Tour card after his great performance in 2024. The Italian got back in the win column at the Jonsson Workwear Open which was one of five top-5s 13 top-25s on the year. Manassero's short game and iron play will be something to lean on when he gets out to the PGA Tour after ranking top-10 in both SG: Approach and SG: Around-the-Green.

Manassero doesn’t have much experience on the PGA Tour, but considering his No. 58 World Golf Ranking, he's bound to get much more the next 12 months. Manessero is young - he turns 19 this spring - but he's already showing signs that he can handle the grind. He'll play mostly overseas this season, but as long as his world ranking stays high, he should gain access to some big events.
