Spanish cigar-aficionado Jimenez had a big day at the European Tour BMW PGA Championship; he aced the par-3 fifth hole en route to tieing at -11 in regulation, then winning at the second playoff hole over Oliver Wilson (England). Venue: the Wentworth Club, near London.

Jimenez (minus-one) who had been right on the cut line, tied for eighth at the Masters as a result of having the low round, 68, of the final day.

Jimenez moved up 21 places to 39th in the Official World Golf Rankings as a result of his winning the UBS Hong Kong Open two weeks ago.
